1.Product group entries must have been launched to the market within two years, the main designer or design team has the corresponding intellectual property rights and in line with the national industrial policy and relevant technology, standards and other related provisions.
2.The concept group entries must be original works of various inventions, novel designs and aesthetic designs that have not been sold or produced in the market, and have great innovations in function, structure, form, technology, materials and low-carbon.The launch to market time is not earlier than the final evaluation of this award.
3.One entry cannot apply for product group and concept group at the same time.
4.The work submitted by the participant must be the designer or owner of the work (the owner of the relevant intellectual property rights), and there are no intellectual property disputes with others (no intellectual property disputes have occurred or have been properly handled).
5.In principle, the lead designer or design team should have corresponding intellectual property proof materials (such as patent certificates, patent announcements, etc.). For works that are in the process of applying for (or registering) relevant intellectual property proof or have not yet been authorized, participants must submit the "The Intellectual Property Statement of the 1st Better Design Award (BDA) Entry" at the time of registration.

The company to which the brand belongs must have been operating for at least three years since its official registration. The founder and CEO-level leaders must have a strong awareness of the value of innovative design. Among the top executives, there should be outstanding designers holding positions such as Chief Design Officer (CDO) or Vice President of Design, who are responsible for overseeing the system-wide innovation and management from product development to brand marketing.
The products developed through innovative design and manufacturing must possess full intellectual property rights and be marketed under an entirely self-owned brand. The brand should have clear and distinct user positioning, product positioning, and market positioning, with a unified brand image that conveys positive brand concepts, visions, and values. It should also play a leading role in driving innovation and development within the industry and market.
Innovative design should be at the core of the company's development strategy, with the design department serving as a primary research and development institution. The CDO or Vice President of Design should report directly to the CEO or President, coordinating innovation across various business departments and fostering a design culture that is embraced by all employees within the company.
A user-centered design approach should be applied throughout the company’ s entire innovation chain, encompassing hardware, software, and services. The company must have a comprehensive product research and development management system and continuously create breakthrough innovations and high-value products and service systems that offer superior user experiences.
Successful innovative products and services should consistently rank among the top in industry and category sales charts, earning high-level domestic and international design awards, as well as other industry awards. These achievements should propel the brand to achieve high growth and profitability, positioning it as a benchmark for industry transformation, upgrades, and high-quality development.
