
Hannu Kähönen is a renowned industrial designer and founder of Creadesign Ltd (established in 1981). As a design innovator and consultant, he also served as Professor and Leader of the International Innovation Team in China until 2018. His work emphasizes user-oriented sustainable design for large-scale industries, consumer products, and public service providers, with hundreds of projects realized in the EU, China, Japan, and the USA. Since 1980, he has received multiple honors and held key positions in Finland, including the State Award of Design, the Kaj Franck Design Prize, the title of Artist Professor, and the Pro Finlandia Medal awarded by the President of Finland. He has also served as Chair of the Board of the Design Museum, Prewriter of Design Policy of Finland, Chair of the National Council for Design, and Honorary Member of Finnish Designers ORNAMO.
