PhD and Professor, he is the leader of the provincial-level key discipline in Design at Shenzhen University and also serves as a doctoral supervisor in Design at City University of Macau. His main research areas include industrial design and theory, product-service system design, and design education. He has published the academic monograph The Meaning of Design and led the National Social Science Fund Youth Project Research on the Theory of Public Facility Design. He has published more than 20 papers in core journals and won over 50 awards in various professional competitions. He serves as the Head of the Chinese Technical Expert Team for the Industrial Design Technology category at the WorldSkills Competition; Chief Judge of the Industrial Design Technology category at the National Vocational Skills Competition of China; Vice Chairman of the Industrial Design Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society; Vice Chairman of the Teaching Advisory Committee for Industrial Design Programs at undergraduate universities in Guangdong Province; and judge for various industrial design competitions.
