
She holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies (Design, Computer Science, and Journalism & Communication) from Tsinghua University and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge. She is a Ministry of Education Changjiang Distinguished Professor, a Dragon Design Foundation Award National Top 10 Outstanding Young Designer recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and was named a Top Young Teaching Master of Beijing in the inaugural selection. She serves as a member of the National Steering Committee for Aesthetic Education and the Industrial Design Teaching Steering Committee under the Ministry of Education, a member of the Digital Art Committee of the China Artists Association, a board member of the Design Education Committee of the China Higher Education Society, and Deputy Chair of the Design Innovation Committee of the Beijing Interdisciplinary Science Society. She is also an Executive Member of the Human-Computer Interaction Committee of the China Computer Federation (CCF), a member of ACM (USA), and a member of CRUCIBLE at the University of Cambridge.
She is responsible for three national first-class undergraduate courses, including Artificial Intelligence and Innovative Design, and has received more than 70 domestic and international awards, including the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Science Achievement Award, the Red Dot Award (Germany), and the China Red Star Design Award. She has published over 200 papers, including multiple ESI highly cited papers, is a Top 1% scholar in CNKI, and has authored 12 books. She is Associate Editor of Encyclopedia of China: Information Art Design and a member of the editorial board of the China Design Yearbook.
