Chen Xiguan is very famous in Taiwan's design community. He obtained his MFA degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art in the United States in 1995. He has served in key executive and design leadership roles at Philips Design and GE/FITCH (Greater China region). Currently, he works for the R&D Creative Center at Compal Computer Group, where he is responsible for the company's technological blueprint and the strategy for innovative design. From 2015 to 2019, he represented Taiwan as a board member of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) / World Design Organization (WDO). He also served as an international advisor for Taipei World Design Capital (WDC), and has held significant positions such as judge for the iF Design Award eight times, Singapore Good Design Award, Golden Pin Design Award, and convener of the Taipei Design Award. He is currently contributing to Taiwan's education sector as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Design at Shih Chien University, and also serves as the Design Ambassador for the Australian Good Design Award and a WDO Regional Advisor.
