
Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Art and Design at Guangdong University of Technology, PhD, and doctoral supervisor. He is one of China’s earliest scholars to engage in industrial innovation design and achieve landmark results. He has consecutively received the Second Prize of the 6th (2013) and 7th (2015) National Outstanding Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences for Universities, the Second Prize of the 10th Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, and honors such as Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Jiangsu Province and Outstanding Teacher of Anhui Province.
He has led and participated in more than 10 national and provincial-level projects, including key projects of the National Social Science Fund, follow-up support projects of the National Social Science Fund, and humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education, as well as numerous commissioned research projects by local governments and enterprises in central cities of the Greater Bay Area.
As the chief planner of the 11th “Governor’s Cup” Industrial Design Competition of Guangdong Province and the Guangdong Design Week series, he proposed building a design innovation community in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and establishing a collaborative design ecosystem integrating government, industry, academia, research, application, media, and finance, while embedding it into a global innovation network. Six in-depth feature reports on the “Governor’s Cup” were consecutively published in major media outlets such as Southern Daily and Guangzhou Daily, generating widespread social impact.
