Second Evaluation of 2024 Better Design Award Completed Successfully

From October 19th to 20th, the second evaluation of the 2024 Better Design Award (BDA) was held at the Huaqiang SIP in Shenzhen. A total of 614 design works and 95 brands participated in the second evaluation, with 19 industry experts from 6 countries participating in the review of design works and brands. After careful evaluation, 200 design works and 24 design-driven brands have advanced to the final evaluation. The review results will be officially announced on the "Better Design Award" WeChat account and the official website soon, and will be open for inquiry.

Since the official launch on May 21st, BDA has attracted widespread attention and active participation from the global design community. The BDA Organizing Committee received a total of 7183 design works submitted from 52 countries and regions, as well as 95 nominations from 42 well-known institutions for outstanding brands. The second evaluation entries cover a wide range of fields, including equipment manufacturing, space and marine equipment and instruments, next-generation electronic information products, modern light industry and textiles, comprehensive home furnishings, CMF categories, digital creativity and information services, smart cities, urban public design, green ecology, future industries, and social innovation, showcasing the boundless vitality of design.

The second evaluation of the works took the "Graphic, Text & Physical Work" evaluation mode, while the review of brands took the "Graphic and Text" evaluation mode. Special invitations were extended to industry experts from China, the United States, Italy, Finland, South Korea, Turkey and so on, to conduct a comprehensive and meticulous review of the participating works and brands.

During the two-day review, under the witness of the notary personnel, uphold the principles of fairness, fairness, objectivity and professionalism, conducted in-depth review of the entries and brands, the evaluation experts from different fields jointly selected the list of finalists after discussion, evaluation, voting and other steps.

The successful conclusion of the BDA Second Evaluation marks a solid step forward to the next evaluation.
