Better Design Award Brand Promotion Conference Successfully Held in Guangzhou

In response to the "Industrial Design Empowerment Guangdong Action Plan (2022-2025)" and the requirements of the Special Action for Industrial Design Empowerment in Eastern, Western, and Northern Guangdong, the Better Design Award Brand Promotion Conference was successfully held in Guangzhou on December 31st to promote the transformation of design achievements and the gathering of outstanding talents in Guangdong.

The event attracted over 100 representatives, including excellent project teams from the competition, industry experts, enterprises from the upstream and downstream sectors of the industrial chain, industry associations, and social organizations. Attendees included Zhou Lidong, Level 2 Inspector of the Baiyun District People's Government of Guangzhou; Zhuang Lezhou, Director of the Industrial Park and Production Service Division of Guangzhou Municipal industry and Information Technology Bureau; and Ye Ying, Director of the Helong Street Office of Guangzhou Baiyun District.

This event introduced industry service resources such as design agencies and academic experts, featuring expert guidance, brand promotion, and product experience sessions. The goal was to build a platform for deepening the integration of design and industry, promote the transformation of the results of the Better Design Award (BDA), empower Guangdong's high-quality development through design, and accelerate the "High-Quality Development Project for 100 Counties, 1,000 Towns, and 10,000 Villages."

Tong Huiming, BDA Juror President and Professor at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, delivered a speech, providing a phase summary of the BDA brand selection process and briefly introducing the "Top 10 Brands Driven by Design".

A special award ceremony for the Top 10 Brands Driven by Design of the Better Design Award was held on-site, where Director Zhou Lidong, Director Zhuang Lezhou, Director Ye Ying, and Professor Tong Huiming presented awards to the representatives of winning brands such as yoose and GAC Automotive Research & Development Center.

At the event, representatives from renowned design companies and institutions took the stage one by one. These included Zhao Bi, Founder of Designest Innovation Consulting; Zhou Xiaoxia, President and Brand Founder of GEE·D Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; Liu Qiming, Chief Design Officer of Guangzhou ZENS Home Products Co., Ltd.; Zhou Anbin, General Manager of Shenzhen DakHaan Design Co., Ltd.; Zhang Wen, Vice President of the Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association and Partner at Shenzhen ZWAVE Industrial Design Co., Ltd.; Zhang Dan, Design Partner at Shenzhen XIVO Industrial Design Co., Ltd.; and Zhao Junjie, CEO & Founder of Guangzhou Realibox Information Technology Co., Ltd. They shared successful cases of creating diversified brands and discussed how to drive brand value growth through strategic brand building, innovative design, and effective market communication, all centered around the theme of "Brands Driven by Design."

A special interactive experience exhibition area was set up at the event, showcasing the outstanding works from the Better Design Award (BDA) and Brands Driven by Design. These products feature innovative designs and unique creativity, demonstrating the exceptional ideas of the participants and providing attendees with a dual feast of visual appeal and creativity.

Before the event began, attendees visited the Baiyun·Lianjiang Industry Collaboration Innovation Center and Guangzhou Xika Technology Co., Ltd. to learn about the brand business models of Guangzhou-based companies and exchange experiences and practices related to brand marketing and promotion.
